Melghat Tiger Reserve
Largely
dry teak forest in the Gaurilagarh Hills.The main ridge rises to over 3280 ft
( 1,000 metres ). The Tapi river flows along the northern border.The forest
is dense and game viewing is poor. wildlife populations are on the increase.Tiger,
Leopard and wild dog are the main predators.Sambar, barking deer, chinkara,chital,
nilgiri, wild boar and gaur are all afound. General Information :

A total area of 605 sq miles ( 1,571 sq km ), of which 120 sq miles ( 311 sq km ) from the core area.
Best time to Visit :
January to June.
